I like the cover idea, and also the idea of making it a bit bigger. I’ve got a few mates who will definitely come through, though it is mostly illustration, not so much poetry.
It’s frustrating being in London, but I suppose that was always going to happen. Thanks for sorting out the ad space idea, I seem to have had hardly any time to concentrate on that.
The Indie Go Go has been...
I like that idea. So, it would be like the layout of a erotic mag but foil blocked in to a nice tome’y cover? I think that could be really nice. The idea of making something usually quite cheesy and a bit shoddy in to something a bit ornate and lovely could be magnifique.
I asked a designer mate if he fancied a go at making some ads, but I just don’t think he’s going to do it....
I’ve had a thought about the front of the tome guys. I’m not sure how doable/expensive this is, but I thought it might look interesting to design the cover in a way that still looks like a legitimate zine then have the outlines foil blocked onto the front of the book. I’m not describing it very well. I mean like this:
See what I mean? We could have an outlined drawing...

I agree that since the tome probably wont be very ‘fat’, that a larger size would...
Ok guys, just a quick post so we can all get some clarification. I have spoken to Emma about this but, I just want to know for definite (ish)
What features are 100% going to be in this tome?
Are there going to be any purely advert based pages and if so how many? (this is mostly so I can give potential buyers an idea of how much space they can get)
What dimensions are we going for - I’m...

Why hello…
I agree that it might be a good shout to get at local adult shops and even just the more ‘quirky’ shops too. There’s a couple of adult shops in Liverpool by LaGo (can’t remember the street name, but they are called Nice’n’Naughty) and I think it’s definitely worth giving them a pop.
I’m certainly, deffo, positively up for doodling...
